Most retired sails are destined for the landfill. We’re changing that.

We work with sailors, sailmakers and sailing clubs to collect retired sails from across North America. Reimagining them into timeless, functional pieces is a labour of love, and our hands touch every step of the process — from soaking to sorting to sewing.  

Sails are deep cleaned, then assessed for condition and material composition, which determine their suitability for different types of bags. We carefully map out every pattern piece to make the best use of the material, with the intention of preserving the design details that give each sail its unique character — stitches, numbers, telltales, and rivets — and the patina of a life well lived.

Using specialized industrial sewing machines, our team of skilled local craftspeople transforms these panels into bags built to last. Now, it’s yours to shape — for the days ahead.
